Therapy that’s kind to everyone, including you.
Apply to work with us if you are:
Working toward licensure and want to learn in a supportive, real-world setting
Already licensed and ready to grow in a community that matches your values
Looking to serve clients with depth, equity, and humanity at the core
Want a private practice-like experience that centers access and support
Let’s build a better future for therapy, together.
Here’s what we offer therapists:
-
Too often, marginalized communities receive therapy that is short-term, culturally irrelevant, or outright harmful.
At Kind, we change that. We offer real, accessible outpatient therapy for people who are usually treated like a statistic—or a burden.
Our therapists choose this work not out of pity, but out of deep alignment and shared humanity.
-
We get it: private practice can feel lonely. Insurance work can feel thankless.
And traditional systems weren’t built for liberation.
At Kind, you’re part of a community that centers access over profit, justice over metrics, and humanity over hustle.
-
The (low) average clinical supervision rate is $150/hour.
After you get you complete master’s degree, you need ~100 hours to get licensed. That’s a $15,000 savings—covered by us through both individual and group supervision.
And we don’t stop there. We continue offering free post-licensure supervision so you can stay sharp, relevant, and connected—because growth doesn’t stop at licensure, and neither should your support.
-
You’re required to complete ~20 hours of CE every year. At $100/hour, that’s $2,000/year.
We provide CEUs centered on justice and inclusion—training focused on the communities we serve, not just clinical theory. Because the future of therapy must be culturally grounded and liberatory.
-
Insurance companies average a six-month delay in reimbursement. We pay you within the same month—so you’re never chasing down your income.
And while many therapists struggle to find full-fee referrals, we’ve built a steady stream of clients ready to start care now.
-
While unpaid, our clinical apprenticeship is a powerful opportunity to serve communities often overlooked by traditional care—and to become the kind of therapist you’re meant to be.
This is real-world training that goes beyond licensure prep. You’ll gain direct experience, mentorship, and community-rooted practice that helps you grow into work that sustains you.
When you graduate and complete our apprenticeship program, you’re invited to apply for a staff role—starting your career with financial stability and a full, values-aligned caseload.
We call it an apprenticeship—not an internship—because this isn’t just a requirement. It’s a guided path into your future that school can’t offer.
-
You’ll work from your own office—which may be at home—with a schedule that supports your life, not the other way around.
Whether you’re caregiving, neurodiverse, managing chronic illness, living with a disability, or simply craving spaciousness, we’ve built an adaptive environment that celebrates how real life moves.
-
If you feel anxious about getting your hours, we understand. That pressure is real.
But there is no quick fix for that anxiety, and working with us is not designed around simply helping therapists collect hours as quickly as possible.
The deeper question is: are you willing to be part of a workplace that prioritizes why we exist?
We exist to serve clients well, to support therapists meaningfully, and to build a culture where care, integrity, learning, and sustainability come before speed.
Your hours matter. Your development matters. But they are part of a larger purpose, not the purpose itself.
